His room is a shrine to his favorite star, With posters and jerseys from near and from far. He dreams of the day he can play like his hero, And keep the opponents' score down to a zero.

Today is the final, the biggest of games, Against the fierce Tigers, who have quite the names. But Carter just smiles, he's brave and he's bold, A goalie whose courage is a sight to behold!

A striker approaches, he winds up to kick, The ball shoots right forward, incredibly quick! It's heading top corner, a sure-fire goal, But Carter leaps up with his heart and his soul.

He stretches his fingers, he flies through the air, And tips it right over with seconds to spare! The crowd goes bananas, they cheer and they shout, "Great save by our goalie, without any doubt!"

A breakaway happens, it's one against one, If Carter can't stop it, the game is all done! The Tiger runs forward, a trick up his sleeve, He fakes to the left, hoping Carter will leave.

But Carter stays patient, he watches the toes, He knows where the bouncy, round soccer ball goes. A massive kick save with his bright yellow shoe, The ball bounces wide, flying out of the blue!

Oh no! It's a foul, just outside the box, A penalty kick that could break all the locks. The kicker steps up, taking three paces back, He strikes with a thunderous, powerful thwack!

He dives to the right, stretching out like a cat, He smacks it away with a mighty big PAT! La Roca has won it, they lift up the cup, With Carter the goalie, they never gave up!
